Light shone behind Gurgi as he ambled through the eastern entrance of the library. To those patrons that had the courage to face Gurgi directly, he seemed to be only a silhouette against the high noon sun. To most, he seemed an apparition, a whisper on the wind that seemed not quite there yet, at the same time, exuding an aura of evil that colored the library an uneasy hue of death which quieted even the most hardy of readers.
