Damn military and their tax-free perks! :banana2:

I look forward to the next one coming out, one thing I hated was how they ended the 2nd one (of course, I expected it ahead of time so it wasn't as bad).

I didn't see PotC; another "principle" thing. I liked the first one well enough, but I couldn't remember one damn thing about it, except that it had that flat chested chick, the guy who can't play any parts except for "sensitive pirates and elves" and the fag who would rather move to France than stand up for himself. I didn't like it well enough to check it out again so I could go see a sequel.

My buddy said something the other night RE: won't see a movie because Depp likes France.
I asked him if he was the same guy who decided he didn't like Elton John when he found out he was a gay.

--Granted the movie was decent filler, it was worth the hour and a half. I've seen worse.

I don't not like Johnny Depp because he likes France, I do not like Johnny Depp because he is pretentious. (Although, his affinity for France is reason enough. )

I do like Elton John. I don't discriminate according to what people like or believe. I'm a christian (albeit, not a very good one) and I'm Trent "you're God is dead and no one cares/ if there is a hell, I'll see you there" Reznor's biggest fan. No word yet on whether Elton and Trent are pretentious, but I'll let you know. :P

no, don't see any other movies if you can see this one. just make sure you take a piss before the movie...you won't want to miss ANY of it...or you will be LOST.

still the best movie i've seen this year...BY FAR.

Yeah.. for the small price of your first born child, your left nut, a signed Hank Aaron rookie card and your dignity, you too can see a legend....

I figured one of you guys might get that. :flip: I'm not sure why Depp bothers me so much with it, but Reznor doesn't. I guess I see Trent as a genius and Depp as a douchebag. Therefore, Depp's pretentiousness bothers me, and Reznor's is understandable?

I think he's actually my most favoritest actor.. He can play real people better than real people can play themselves!

(See: Fear and Loathing, Donnie Brasco, Blow, etc..)

Honestly I don't really care much for whatever he's all about personally, but with most movies he's in I don't really see him, but rather whatever character he's playing. With most other actors, I see them first. If I see a movie with Robert DeNiro, he's...... still just Robert DeNiro.
It's hard to explain really....

It might not be that bad.. the Elton John/Billy Joel tickets were the most ridiculous prices I've EVER seen, and Billy Joel has a reputation of making some dough on his ticket prices on his own.

Would be a great concert though.. If it's not too bad on the wallet, that's a great surprise for Mrs. Jokeray!

Actually, that makes perfect sense to me. the only problem is that when I see his movies, I see him the way I see Deniro, as you mentioned, and other folk. I guess the guy that I see the way you see Depp WAS Val Kilmer. I remember watching the Doors, thinking that was a great performance, then watching Thunderheart a while later. Halfway through the movie, I thought "wait, I thought this movie had Val Kilmer in it!"

I understand what you're saying though. It's just to me, when he's on screen, I say 'hey! There's that pretentious douchebag!' (Fear and Loathing is a favorite though)

I just called Roy Williams, he said Nine Inch Nails the greatest music in history.

Then, when he was asked about The Beatles, he labelled it the greatest music in history.

Then, when asked about Billy Joel, Roy Williams said that was the creator of "the greatest music in history."

Then he said Joe Harrington belongs in the Hall of fame and that the Lions would find a way to finish this season at 11-2. Go figure.
